SmallWorld fits the bill perfectly. The graphics are awesome, the game play is easy enough to understand that we all picked up on it within a few games. The variability with the combination of Races with Special Powers, which combine differently each time, ensures great re-playability. And the subtle way the Special Powers and Races interact, along with when those combinations come available for purchase, really makes for some interesting effects on the strategy of each player.
The game comes with different size maps for use depending on the number of players 2-5. The girls are excited about teaching their friends the game, so we can start using the larger maps!
