The Gamer’s Armory is happy to announce that we will be hosting a Flames of War – Firestorm: Bagration Campaign! (Late War)

Keith Miles will be running the Campaign.  The Campaign will start with a Kick Off Event on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 11:00 am.  The Campaign will run for eight week.  The Wrap Up Event will take place on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 11:00 am.  “Official” Campaign Nights will be every Wednesday and Thursday Night at The Gamer’s Armory but battles can be fought any day of the week!

If you are unfamiliar with the Firestorm system, please read below for more details:

There is a board game campaign map with territories (similar in concept to Risk), which is used to plot attacks.  These attacks are then resolved on the tabletop, applying any positive/negative modifying elements to the game.  Modifying elements include reduced point total, reduced motivation, fortifications, or specific Firestorm troops that are tracked on the battlefield (and can be lost, so be careful with them!).  The Allies are attacking a lot, but the Axis will also want to counterattack frequently to prevent encirclement.  Campaign turns will last two weeks.  During any campaign turn the players can fight any number of battles.  The more battles we fight, the more dynamic the campaign!  Point levels should hover around 1500-1750, to keep the campaign battles balanced and fun.  Campaign nights will be Wednesday and Thursday, but battles can be fought anytime.  Overall it’s a really fun system and should be lots of fun for everyone!
