Warhammer Fantasy Escalation League (July 2nd - August 26th)

E-mail Print

Warhammer Fantasy Escalation League

League starts July 2, 2013 and ends August 26, 2013

  1. League Fees will be $5.00, and is due when you sign up for the league. The fees will go towards prizes.
  2. All armies must have the most up to date codex. As new supplements come out, we will incorporate them into the league. You must have a copy of the rulebook, your codex, dice, tape measure, and your models.
  3. All league games must be played at The Gamer’s Armory. Tuesday night is the official Games Workshop Miniature Games night and tables will be set aside for you to battle on, but feel free to play league games on the other nights, as long as we have room. Terrain will be set up by the players following the set up rules in the main rulebooks.
  4. Players can play as many games as they wish, but must play each scenario at least once, and when each match is completed, you and your opponent will fill out a GW Result Slip (only one per match), date it, sign it (both players) and turn it into the “League Result Slip” box. All prizes sponsored by GW and The Gamer’s Armory will be awarded to the winners. Standings will be determined by Win/Loss/Draw of all your games combined, and then if there are any draws, we’ll compare the point’s results second.  They will be posted on our website weekly.
  5. Models do not have to be painted, but they must be at least assembled. If something in your army is not WYSIWYG, than you must inform your opponent. Keep the proxy models to a minimum. (I.E. Melta proxies as a flamer is alright, but a whole army proxies as another is not.) Paper cups, sheets of paper, and empty bases cannot be used as models.
  6. The points for the league will be as follows:
    • July 2-July 15: 1000 Points
    • July 16-July 29: 1500 Points
    • July 30-August 12: 2000 Points
    • August 13-August 26: 2500 Points

You will use the scenarios located in the Warhammer Fantasy Rulebook on pages 144-150. If you and your opponent agree, you may play one of the scenarios in the back of the book, or one you find online.

Star Wars X-Wing Miniatures Tournament (June 9th)

E-mail Print

Please join us on Sunday, June 9, 2013 at 1:00 pm for a Star Wars X-Wing Miniatures Tournament

We will be using contents from the Season One 2013 X-Wing Game Night Kit for this Tournament....which will offer players a chance to field oversized pilot cards for Han Solo and Boba Fett.

The Entry Fee will be $10.00 per person

The number of Rounds will be based upon the number of Participants and each Round will be timed!

X-Wing is a game of fast-paced tactical dogfights in which players secretly select their maneuvers, lock them in, and race into position to ire upon their foes.
It is also a game of iconic characters - the famous heroes and infamous villains who battled in the most dramatic space confrontations of the Star Wars movies and expanded universe.

Even among a galaxy of skilled combatants, some earn legends that are larger than others, and the Season One 2013 X-Wing Game Night Kit recognizes
two of these iconic pilots with an oversized, double-sided pilot card, featuring Han Solo on one side and Boba Fett on the other.
The oversized Han Solo and Boba Fett pilot cards are mechanically the same as the pilot cards from the Millennium Falcon and Slave I expansions and will be legal for tournament play.
These oversized pilot cards are exclusive to the Season One 2013 X-Wing Game Night Kits and won't be available anywhere else!!

Tournament Structure:  The Tournament will follow the Fantasy Flight Tournament Rules.

Prizes will be awarded using the Season One 2013 Game Night Kit...contents are listed below:
-Eight oversized, double-sided pilot cards featuring Han Solo and Boba Fett
-Two sets of acrylic target lock tokens

Star Wars LCG Game Day (3rd Sunday of each month)

E-mail Print

Please join us on the 3rd Sunday of each month from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm for Star Wars LCG Game Day!

Star Wars LCG Game Day is open to interested Players, new (still learning) Players and Veteran Players!
This Game Day will have something for everyone!  Even if you've never played before, please come out and check it out!

The idea is to offer an easy-access and central location for Players to meet and play as well as to even get more people playing, through demos or exposure as the group plays.

In Star Wars: The Card Game, light side and dark side players duel for the fate of the galaxy.
hile the light side player races to make tactical strikes against dark side objectives, the dark side player works to reinforce his position of command.

During their battles, players will command some of the galaxy's most memorable characters and starships.
They'll send Han Solo and Rebel troopers to engage Imperial forces on Endor's forest moon, or launch fleets of Star Destroyers from the Kuat ship yards.
Stormtroopers, smugglers, X-wings, TIEs, and bounty hunters will all make appearances, too.
Of course, there will be epic lightsaber duels as well, and players will be able to recreate the classic confrontations between Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader.
